spotlight on: our repair balm
the most round-iest, all-rounder you've ever seen
It's no secret folks that Summer can be hard on our skin.
There's the incessant sun that never seems to go away (even if you keep begging it to), the temperature changes between cold, air conditioning and the fiery pits of hell (otherwise known as Melbourne on a 30ºC day), and the humidity that follows you around and clings to your skin with no intention of letting go.
Dealing with all of the above can result in your skin having a bit of a temper tantrum, and to be honest, we can't even blame it.
If your skins looking a bit oily, dry cracked, or wrinkles are popping up in places you never would've expected to see, or your skin resembles that new leather handbag you just bought, then we might have just found your saviour. In fact, we know we did.
We'd give this one a drum roll, but c'mon, we know it doesn't need one.
Introducing our newest skin must-have to the team (and your new hydration best friend), our repair balm!
Isn't it just the best?
Now, if you're loyal skinfood lovers then you'll know this all-rounder isn't exactly a 'new' product. In fact, he's been around for a few months but we thought now's as good a time as any to let him shine.
Alright, let's get up close and personal.
what does the nudist repair balm do?
Great question, and the answer is, well, EVERYTHING.
Forget acting humble, this repair balm is not only hella hydrating but is also specifically designed to restore moisture to any and every part of your body that's in need of a little tlc.
Helping to repair your dehydrated and cracked areas is his thing. Do you have dry lips? Use the balm. Do you experience chafing? Use the balm. Suffering from eczema? Use the balm. Noticed your skin flaking? Use the bloody balm.
Suitable for all skin types, this multipurpose warrior will have you living your best Summer life in no time, acting to restore your skin to its super smooth and super fresh state.
Perfect for use on your lips, under your nose, on your elbows or on any other places that need a little bit of extra hydrating help, this balm is guaranteed to soothe your skin and calm it the f*ck down. We pinky promise.
what's in it?
This balm is packed with soooo many good nutrients. No honestly, let us name a few.
Avocado oil (a powerful antioxidant) is full of THE best fatty acids and anti-inflammatory properties to help the skin maintain hydration and minimise damage, so uh, yes please.
Containing a high percentage of Vitamin E, potassium, and lecithin which all help to nourish and moisturise your skin, Avocado oil is the bees knees, also helping to promote collagen production (in order to grow new skin). This speeds up the process of repairing damaged or sunburnt skin and it won't even judge the fact that you forgot to put sunscreen on before you stepped outside.
What a gentleman.
Hailing from the cutie little kernels of the Argan tree, and harvested from the kernels of the Argan tree which is native to South Morocco, this non-fragrant plant oil is liquid gold for your skin!
Helping to balance out your natural oil production whilst reducing acne and blemishes, this oil is down to absorb easily into your skin, this oil actually fills the gaps in between your skin cells so your skin can appear effortlessly ~ flawless ~.
Argan Oil also helps to protect and moisturise your skin in the hopes that you feel Fan-f**kin-tastic, like, all the time.
Not only that, but it also has anti-aging properties so you can wind Time's clock back a few years. Anything that does that gets a big tick in our book.
Jojoba Oil (pronounced ho-ho-ba) is actually a liquid wax rather than an oil, and it's kick-ass skin saving superpower is that it closely resembles the natural production of sebum in the skin.
Chock full of Vitamins E and B, jojoba oil is not only extremely fun to say but is also fantastic for saving your skin’s day (loves a good rhyme).
Filled to the brim with essential nutrients that help repair damaged skin, fight premature ageing and provide long-lasting moisture, this oil can also help curb breakouts, leavin’ you with skin you’re bound to be in love with.
*Cue Mariah Carey's 'Obsessed'*.
Permeating deep into the skin, this superhero oil is well suited to all skin types, but particularly those who have sensitive, oily and combination skin.
High in fatty acids, this super-healing ingredient will have you telling dry and chapped skin to put everything they own in a box to the left coz you don’t need that sh*t.
Yep, that’s right. Not only will cocoa butter leave your skin feelin’ hella moisturised but this antioxidant powerhouse will also help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. YES PLEASE.
The fat in cocoa butter acts as a barrier over your skin to hold in all of the good moisture your skin's been begging for, and won't leave a greasy residue after, absorbing into your skin and making you look as flawless (dare we say more?) as JLo.
how do I use it?
With dry fingertips, apply the balm as an everyday moisturising balm or as an all-over-the-body hydration helper.
PRO TIP: For super absorbency, you can try applying the repair balm after a warm bath or shower while your skin is ready to absorb the nudist in you.
Like we mentioned before, this balm is perfect for calming areas with eczema, like on your arms, elbows or for cracked lips and other red, flakey areas.
Please patch test first in a small area (e.g. the inside of your wrist).
What the hell are you waiting for? Like, we think we see a nudist repair balm with your name on it.
