5 Tips for Glowing Skin this Summer

Summer is in full swing which means, beach, sun and lots of fun! 
But in amongst all that fun lets not forget to slip, slop, slap and take care of our skin
The Sun’s rays can dry the skin of its natural oil. For some of us, this leads to an increased sebum production, making our skin more oily. For others, it leads to drier skin. Here are our top 5 tips to keep your skin feeling fresh all Summer long.


1. Hydrate

Drink lots of water, your perspiring more and will get dehydrated quicker than usual. Carry a water bottle with you wherever you go and take small sips throughout the day, perhaps setting a reminder works best for you. This is important to keep your body and skin hydrated, flushing out toxins and keeping you feeling refreshed during the hot summer days.


2. Wear Sunscreen

Sun protection for your face, hands, legs, and any other exposed parts of your body is vital. Excessive UV exposure can permanently damage your skin and cause sunburn, wrinkles, fine lines, and premature ageing. Invest in sunscreen that has a broad UV spectrum and apply liberally and regularly particularly after swimming. If you have recently had a wax or laser hair removal, be mindful that your skin will be extra sensitive, so be sure to apply sunscreen on these areas too!


3. Hydrating with a Hemp Mask

Treat yourself to a Hydrating Hemp face mask once a week. During Summer we are spending more time outdoors and exposing our skin to pollutants, perhaps drinking a couple of extra cocktails with the girls or maybe too much sun.

Perhaps take a pause to really appreciate the simple pleasures in life; hearing the birds singing, or perhaps your children laughing, maybe you mastered your favourite recipe, just stop for a second.
